Faribault Evangelical Free Church belongs to the Evangelical Free Church of America, a collective of independent congregations joined by shared theological foundations:

God
1. We affirm one God, the Author of all existence, holy, perfectly infinite, and eternally present in a loving fellowship of three co-equal divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Possessing absolute knowledge and sovereign command, God has graciously intended from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to restore all creation for His own glory.

The Bible
2. We affirm that God has communicated through the Scriptures, spanning both the Old and New Testaments, relayed through human voices. As the divine word inspired by God, the Bible remains flawless in its original form, the whole revelation of His path for salvation, and the definitive authority for every aspect of human life and understanding. As such, it is to be embraced in its teachings, followed in its commands, and relied upon in all its promises.

The Human Condition
3. We affirm that God fashioned Adam and Eve in His likeness, yet they fell into sin through the deception of Satan. Representative of Adam, all human beings carry a sinful nature and make sinful choices, remaining estranged from God and subject to His judgment. Restoration, reconciliation, and renewal are found solely through the saving intervention of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
4. We affirm that Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh, fully divine and fully human, a single Person possessing two natures. As the promised Messiah of Israel, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, endured crucifixion under Pontius Pilate, rose physically from the grave, ascended to heaven, and now reigns at the right hand of God the Father as our supreme High Priest and Intercessor.

The Work of Christ
5. We affirm that Jesus Christ, acting as our representative and substitute, offered His blood upon the cross as the flawless and sufficient sacrifice for our transgressions. His sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection provide the unique and only foundation for our salvation.

The Holy Spirit
6. We affirm that the Holy Spirit acts in all things to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. He brings conviction of guilt to the world. He brings spiritual rebirth to sinners, who are then baptized into fellowship with Christ and welcomed as heirs into God's family. He resides within, enlightens, directs, equips, and gives strength to believers to live and serve as followers of Christ.

The Church
7. We affirm that the true church consists of all individuals justified by the grace of God through faith in Christ alone. They are bound together by the Holy Spirit within the body of Christ, who serves as the Head. This true church finds expression in local congregations, which should consist exclusively of believers. The Lord Jesus established two ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Supper, which serve as visible signs of the gospel. While they do not grant salvation, these ordinances strengthen and feed the believer when practiced in sincere faith.

Christian Living
8. We affirm that God's grace in justification is inseparable from His power in sanctification. God calls us to love Him with all our heart and to love others sacrificially, living out our faith through mutual care, kindness to the impoverished, and advocacy for the marginalized. Empowered by God's Word, the Spirit's strength, and persistent prayer in the name of Christ, we stand against spiritual darkness. Following Christ's command, we dedicate ourselves to making disciples of all nations, witnessing to the gospel through both our words and our actions.

Christ's Return
9. We affirm the personal, physical, and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ. His second coming, occurring at a moment known only to God, requires us to live in constant anticipation and serves as our blessed hope, driving the believer toward holy living, selfless service, and diligent mission.

Response and Eternal Destiny
10. We affirm that God calls every person across the globe to embrace the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe God will physically raise the dead and judge the world, directing the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal separation, while leading the believer to everlasting peace and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and new earth, honoring His magnificent grace. Amen.
